What can we say other than this is one of the toughest ILM paint jobs to recreate, having spent a full day studying the actual filming miniature we can confidently say this beast is an enigma, its base coat as far as we can tell is SP Lark Dark Grey, it then has many washes mists and stains of rust and roof brown that are not heavy but enough to give it the rusty look in flash and heavy lighting, in subdued lighting it holds its matt grey look, its not got a sheen other then the glossy black eyes and is not metallic in any way.
